Even closer. There is an auto salvage yard to the east of the property, which can be seen in this photo. Interestingly enough, even though we have owned this property for years and visited it several times we have never noticed the auto salvage yard. Apparently the trees do a good job of hiding it.

The land is located only about 3 miles west of Baudette on Highway 11. Baudette is well known as one of the most popular destinations in northern Minnesota for the outdoorsman. If you like to play outside you will love the area. The fishing is outstanding with the world famous Lake of the Woods a very short drive from the property. The area is also well known for its wildlife including white-tailed deer and ruffed grouse (we've seen both on and around the land).
The parcel is about 1320 feet east to west and goes back to the south for about 2000 feet.

The 69 acres is bordered on the west side by a field and small ditch as seen in this photo (we're looking north in the photo). The ditch is just off of the property on the west side, the trees are on the property (or very close to the west line).

 

The parcel has a nice approach coming off of Highway 11 so the access is good all year around.

Electric, phone and cable run right along Highway 11. The property is a mixture of high ground and soft ground (like most large parcels in the area). The west third of the property is probably the softest and it gets high and dry as you move toward the east side. There are several places on the property that might make nice sites for a cabin or home. The northeast portion (approximately 10 acres) of the property appears to be an old field. The remainder of the property has quite a bit of marketable timber which can not be cut or sold until the parcel has been paid for in full.
